I just got asked for directions to McDonalds. I probably wouldn't think much of it, but ... there have been several occasions where when I tell people I'm American they say, "Meiguo ... McDonalds! Hao Chi, ma?!" (Good food, right?). Then there was the time I was in a cab and my stop happened to be across from a McDonalds. "You want to go eat hamburger?" my driver asked.
Clearly, I'm a victim of profiling.

I mean you might not have, but I totally would've eaten at that McDonalds walking out of the cab :)
